My journey
I have never been a religious person, but I have always felt some sense of something there.
I don’t believe in “God” but I often wished that I did – as I envied those that did. I envied this faith that they had – that could guide them through life and support them in tough times.
But you can’t make yourself believe something that you don’t.
Well, I have had a few tough times in my life.
One of them being a long term abusive relationship with a controlling narcissist.
During this time, I kind of stumbled onto a Reflexology course – I had seen how this therapy had helped my mum following a car crash and had helped me during a bout of anxiety.
To be honest, one of the biggest drivers behind doing it was to get out of the house for a couple of hours a week away from my ex- I am still surprised, looking back now, that he let me go on it to be honest.
But I loved it. I loved the way you could tell just from someone’s feet, where they had problems within their body and could help ease them. I also loved watching their faces as they relaxed during the treatment and left in a much better state afterwards.
This course lead me to doing others in Massage, Indian Head Massage and Nail Technology.
Again, the way the body worked fascinated me and I loved making people feel better.
I then stumbled across Reiki.
This was a bit of a leap for me, as the previous courses had been very physical and “explainable” as to how they worked.
With Reiki, you are using Universal energy to clear blockages in someone’s body and energy fields. This was my first step into the more “spiritual” therapies and that connection to something I couldn’t see. And it just felt right.
Finally being brave enough to leave my ex meant I had more freedom and time to be the real me and allow my interest in holistic therapies to grow.
I honestly cannot tell you how I came to own my first crystal, but I am so very glad I did. I started collecting for myself and also put together kits for friends who were experiencing difficulties with pregnancies or experiencing illness. Many did not have any knowledge of crystals, but whether they believed in their power or not, they often felt better just having something solid to hold and give them hope – which in itself was priceless.
Many years later I am now an Advanced Crystal Healing Practitioner and adore crystals – I even acquired the title of “Crazy Rock Lady” along the way which is fine by me.
Again, the crystals are using an energy you can’t see – this strengthened my believe of this Universal energy.
I also had a few “unexplainable” experiences – times when I made decisions based on a gut feeling.
These decisions sometimes looked crazy to others, but I knew were right for me.
These decisions led me to meet the man of my dreams and now gorgeous husband, will ultimately led to the birth of our amazing miracle daughter.
Trusting my gut – or the Universe – changed the course of my life.
The latest one of these decisions came a few years back when I was made redundant from a long-term corporate career during Covid.
I trusted my gut again, decided to go in a totally different direction and retrained as a Life Coach.
About the same time, I also bought my first deck of Oracle cards – well that has now grown into a full-time obsession, and I now offer card readings – please see the Card reading page of this site to book.
I also opened my private facebook group - The Happy Souls Hangout - which is a lovely friendly safe place to share stuff about our lives and to share spiritual tools and experiences.
Hopefully that gives you an idea of my journey to now.
My journey continues as I am still increasing my knowledge in the areas of Law of Attraction, Chakra energy & energy healing, Meditation, Angel guidance, Human Design amongst others.
I know there is still so much amazing stuff out there to discover.
